Leading personal computer maker Lenovo today announced the launch of the IdeaPad A10, priced at Rs 19,990. “A10 weighs approx. 1 kg; it features a 10.1 inch screen display and enables users to instantly switch between two modes – laptop and stand,” it added.
It packs a 10.1-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) 10-point multi-touch display. It has laptop and stands modes and can flip 300 degrees. It is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and runs on customized Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Lenovo promises 10 hours battery life with mixed use.
IdeaPad A10 also comes with a micro USB port, two USB 2.0 ports and a micro HDMI slot. The device weighs less than 1kg and is 17.3mm at its thickest point. Lenovo has provided a 1,600 mAh battery in the device, which it claims will provide up to nine hours of nonstop video playback.
With these features, this notebook will be good quality for those looking for a low-cost laptop but favor Android over Windows. With the increased number of Android devices in laptop designs and dual-OS laptops announced at CES, it would be interesting to see how Microsoft responds.
