Last month, BlackBerry launched a new smartphone, the BlackBerry Passport having a square shape and we saw it in black and white colors, both of which have silver stainless steel metallic surrounds.
In some leaks we’ve seen the Passport in all black, where metallic components are also colored black giving it a premium look.
Now moving from premium to luxurious look, the BlackBerry Passport is spotted in a gold color variant, and if we believe on speculations it may cost significantly more than the £530 ($599) Passport standard.
The photos of gold BlackBerry Passport were seen on Instagram, revealing the phone with gold trim on the sides – although from the pics it’s not clear if the whole rear of the phone is gold.
It is not clear whether the gold BlackBerry Passport is officially from the company or any third-party manufacturer, but there is watermark on one of the photos – “parisrosegold”.
Paris Rose is a Dubai-based company that sells ‘full gold’ versions of phones, mostly iPhones. Though, we can’t believe it to be from Paris Rose, as in the past Paris Rose has also posted photos of manufacturers’ gold phones.
Just to remind our viewers, the BlackBerry Passport comes in a square shape, featuring a 4.5-inch 1440×1440 pixel resolution IPS LCD display, and powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM.
It holds 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB), and sports a 13-megapixel rear camera, while there is a 2-megapixel front facing camera also onboard.
