Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched the X5Max smartphone at an event in China at CNY 2,998 (approximately Rs. 30,000), ahead of the Indian launch.
Notably, Vivo is holding a press event in India next week to launch its Vivo X5Max smartphone in India. In China, the smartphone will be available starting December 22.
One of the highlight feature of the X5Max is its 4.75mm thickness, slimmer than the currently ‘slimmest smartphone in the world’ the Oppo R5, which measures 4.85mm.
The Vivo X5Max is a high mid-range smartphone, which features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AOMLED display and is driven by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (quad-core 1.7GHz + quad-core 1GHz).
It comes with 2GB of RAM and holds 16GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The smartphone also supports Hi-Fi 2.0 and focuses on music experience, while also sports Yamaha YSS-205X chip.
The Vivo X5 Max runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat with the company’s proprietary Funtouch OS 2.0 UI on top. The handset sports a 13-megapixel rear camera equipped with LED flash and Sony IMX214 sensor, while also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.
It packs a 2000mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time, while also support dual-SIM (Micro-SIM and nano SIM) and 4G LTE on both the SIMs.
