Expanding its octa-core powered lineup of smartphones in India, Intex has launched a new smartphone, the Aqua Xtreme at Rs. 11,490. It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box, but the company claims that it is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Intex Aqua Xtreme is a mid-range smartphone, featuring not very impressive, but decent specifications. It features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with scratch-free Dragontrail glass protection and is powered by a 1.7GHz true octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
There is a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash, and also a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Intex Aqua Xtreme comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
On the connectivity front, it comes with 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, and FM radio options. The packs a 2000mAh battery and is 6.99mm thick.
The Aqua Xtreme is available in three colour options – Red, Black and Grey. Regarding the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies, said, “Intex has always ensured superior quality products for consumers.
Keeping in mind the cluttered market of feature rich phone, Aqua Xtreme is purely pragmatic in nature. With the launch of Xtreme, we intend to provide high-end features to users at a remarkable price to mass market.
Xtreme is a combination of supreme configuration device which users willingly to pay.” It’s worth noting that, earlier this month Intex had launched two smartphones powered by octa-core smartphones dubbed the Intex Aqua i5 Octa at Rs. 7,499, and the Intex Aqua Power at Rs. 8,444.
