LG launches a new Android-powered flip smartphone, called the LG Ice Cream Smart in South Korea

After launching the first Android-powered flip smartphone, LG now has launched the second flip-style Android handset, dubbed the LG Ice Cream Smart in its home turf South Korea.

LG Wine Smart was the company’s first flip smartphone running Android OS, which was launched in September last year. The LG Ice Cream Smart has been priced around KRW 300,000 (roughly Rs. 17,000) and currently the handset is likely to remain Korea-specific.

Talking about the specifications, the LG Ice Cream Smart features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) resolution LCD display and is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor (unspecified) coupled with 1GB of RAM.

It bears 8GB of internal memory, which is expandable via a microSD card (up to 32GB), and sports an 8-megapixel rear camera alongside a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera.

The LG Ice Cream Smart packs a 1700mAh removable battery and comes with regular connectivity features which includes LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, DMB-TV, and Bluetooth 4.0.

The smartphone measures 118.6×59.4×16.9mm, weighs 138 grams, and is available in Mint and Pink color variants.
