Samsung has officially released a video teaser for its upcoming Galaxy S6 smartphone with a title, “The Next Galaxy”, hinting that Samsung might leave the plastic and use metal as a build material.
The video doesn’t reveal much, but we can see there is liquid metal sliding along what looks like the edge of the phone. ‘Borders will disappear,’ says the voice over which hints that the Galaxy S6 will have extremely thin bezels on the sides.
The video also throws light on the curved variant of the Galaxy S6, called the Galaxy S Edge featuring a curved edge display on both sides.
Some reports are surfacing online revealing that the Edge screens will be 30 to 50 percent less curved when compared to the Edge display on the Galaxy Note Edge.
This is because to place the volume and power buttons on the sides, while the curves on both sides will be uniform. If we talk about the specifications, the Galaxy S6 is said to feature an Ultra HD 4K display, however earlier leaks talked about a 5.3-inch 4K AMOLED display.
It could bear a 64-bit Exynos 7420 or Snapdragon 810 processor depending on the country, along with 4GB RAM and a 20MP rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.
As far as pricing is concerned, the 32GB Galaxy S6 variant is likely to be priced at 749 euros, the 64GB at 849 euros and 128GB version to cost 949 euros.
