Just a week before the MWC event, LG has launched four new smartphones, the LG Magna, LG Spirit, LG Leon and the LG Joy. All the four handsets are powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop and comes under mid-range category.
The company said that the global release of the handsets will start from this week in select markets, while the LTE Cat. 4 and 3G variants will vary as per the market.
The company has not revealed the price of any of these smartphones, but it said that, “these mid-tier handsets carry the “premium design elements and user experience” which until now have only been seen in the company’s premium smartphones.”
Talking about the specifications, the first comes LG Magna which features 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution display offering a pixel density of 294ppi.
There will be two processor variants based on the market – 1.2GHz quad-core processor or 1.3GHz quad-core processor, both coupled with 1GB of RAM.
It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB of inbuilt storage, and 2540mAh battery capacity. The second smartphone in the list is the LG Spirit, it comes with a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution display with pixel density of 312ppi.
Other specifications are same as the LG Magna, except that it packs a 2100mAh battery and sports an 8-megapixel rear camera, while the front-facing camera comes in two options – 5-megapixel and 1-megapixel.
The LG Leon smartphone sports a smaller 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) resolution display with pixel density of 220ppi. All other specifications are same except that the LG Leon packs a 1900mAh battery.
The last comes LG Joy, which is the smallest and likely the cheapest of them all. It features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution display with pixel density of 233ppi.
The smartphone comes in two processor variants – 1.2GHz quad-core or 1.2Ghz dual-core, two RAM versions – 1GB or 512MB, and two inbuilt storage versions – 8GB or 4GB.
A 5-megapixel camera is at the back, while a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera is also onboard and it is backed by a 1900mAh battery.
