Taking further its One series of smartphones, the Taiwanese tech giant HTC has launched its new flagship device, the HTC One M9.
As the handset was rumored by the name One M9, the company retains the naming strategy from the HTC One (M7) and HTC One (M8) and the new flagship has been given the name HTC One M9.
HTC has introduced the One M9 in the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, and it will be available globally starting mid-March. Though, the company is yet to reveal pricing details.
The HTC One M9 comes with all-metal unibody design and will arrive in dual tone Silver and Rose Gold, single-tone Gunmetal Grey, single tone Gold, and dual tone Gold and Pink colors.
The HTC One M9 is a flagship device, therefore it packs high-end specifications which includes a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz) processor and packs a 2840mAh battery.
The camera has been bumped up to 20-megapixel that comes with sapphire cover lens, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording.
The HTC One M9 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company’s brand new Sense 7 UI on top. Connectivity options on the handset include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and LTE.
Talking about the sound, the HTC One M9 retains the company’s iconic dual front-facing speakers and BoomSound and with Dolby Audio and 5.1 channel Dolby Surround sound simulation.
