Alcatel, at the MWC 2015 trade show has launched its new smartphone running on Cyanogen OS, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ and it is expected to arrive in the US and Canada in Q2 this year at $299 (approximately Rs. 18,300).
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) mid-range smartphone and features a 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) TFT display.
It is backed by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592M (Cortex-A7) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and holds 16GB inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The handset is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and packs a 3100mAh battery.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ runs Cyanogen OS 11 and include 4G LTE Cat. 4, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth Smart 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS and NFC connectivity options.
