Motorola India is all set to launch the next generation Moto E in India on 10th of March, as the company has started sending invites for an event scheduled for March 10.
In the event, the company will launch the Moto E (Gen 2) along with the LTE variant of the handset. The Moto E (Gen 2) was officially announced last month, now we’ve to wait for the official pricing of the smartphone in India.
Regarding the availability, Motorola has already said that, in India the Moto E (Gen 2) will be available exclusively via Flipkart, just like previous Moto devices.
The Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box, and obviously packs a slew of improvements over its predecessor.
It sports a 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display with a pixel density of 256ppi and is run by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 302 GPU.
From a dual-core Snapdragon 200 SoC, the company has upgraded the processor to quad-core. It is now powered by a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306.
There is a 5-megapixel rear shooter, along with a 0.3-megapixel front camera, and there 8GB of built-in storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Connectivity options on the Moto E (Gen 2) include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0LE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, and Micro-USB.
The battery has been bumped up to 2390mAh from 1980mAh on the first-generation. The new Moto E measures 129.9×66.8×12.3mm, and weighs 145 grams.
