HTC, recently at the MWC trade show in Barcelona unveiled its new flagship handset, the One M9 without revealing the pricing and availability details. Now the Taiwanese giant seems to launch the smartphone, if a report from a Taiwanese publication is to be believed.
The publication reports that the HTC One M9 will be launched early next week in Taiwan and will be available in two storage variants 32GB and 64GB in the country.
At MWC, the company only unveiled the 32GB storage model, and the publication reveals that the the 32GB model of the One M9 has been priced at TWD 21,900 (approximately Rs. 43,400).
The 64GB model on the other hand, will be available at TWD 23,900 (approximately Rs. 47,400). Both the HTC One M9 models will be available to buy starting March 16.
The HTC One M9 is a flagship high-end device which packs impressive specs and features an all-metal unibody design slightly different from the last year’s flagship, the HTC One M8.
Like the LG G Flex2, which is the first smartphone to pack the Snapdragon 810 SoC, the HTC One M9 also packs the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz) processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The display on the handset is a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) and the onboard storage supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).
The flagship runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company’s brand new Sense 7 UI on top and includes a 4-UltraPixel front-camera and also comes preloaded with HTC’s Eye Experience software enhancements and Zoe app.
The HTC One M9 sports a 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera that comes with sapphire cover lens, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording.
It packs a 2840mAh battery and in the connectivity department offers Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and LTE.
The HTC One M9 will be in available dual-tone Silver and Rose Gold, single-tone Gunmetal Grey, single tone Gold, and dual-tone Gold and Pink colors.
Regarding the global availability, there is no official information from the company as of yet, though at the unveiling event the company had mentioned that the smartphone will be available globally starting mid-March.
