Those who were waiting for the 4G variant of the Motorola’s Moto E (Gen 2) smartphone can make themselves ready to get their hands on the device, as it’s now official in India, priced at Rs. 7,999.
The Moto E (Gen 2) 4G is now up for pre-orders via Indian e-commerce portal Flipkart, and as per the Flipkart listing the estimated release date is April 23, whereas the estimated delivery date is April 28.
Notably, the 3G variant of the Moto E (Gen 2) was launched last month in India and is available for Rs. 6,999 via Flipkart. Both variants come with identical specifications, except the processors. The 4G variant of the Moto E (Gen 2) is powered by a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC (with Adreno 306), whereas the 3G variant packs a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC (with Adreno 302).
Both bear 1GB of RAM and feature a 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixel) display with a pixel density of 245ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection along with anti-smudge coating. There is 8GB of built-in storage on both Moto E (Gen 2) smartphones, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB) and there is a 5-megapixel rear camera along with a VGA (0.3-megapixel) snapper.
Connectivity options on both handsets include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0LE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, and Micro-USB, while there is also a 2390mAh battery.
