Zomato makes second US acquisition Nextable, to launch ‘Zomato Book’ in July

Zomato busy in its expansion plans and has acquired US based NexTable a renowned restaurant reservations and table-management platform. His second US acquisition Nextable is known for putting up great competition against Open Table, and SeatMe from Yelp. Its ninth acquisition in a row has put it on success path.  The services to be launched around July are eagerly awaited here also as its fans have reacted enthusiastically to acquisition.

Meanwhile, nextable  team is likely to join Zomato soon. The new services to be called Zomato book will be available to the users very soon.  It had recently also acquired maple graph and raised a $50 million round with valuation of over $1 billion. It had already acquired number of organizations to enhance its performance and serve its business interests.

Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato   announcing its acquisition had said the launch of table reservations yesterday.   The new service Zomato will be made available to its customers very soon.  It had plans to take this startup based service to other parts also. it will be taking its operations  to India, UAE, Australia  and other parts.

For NexTable, the acquisition is going to work as deal will help in looking for firepower to grow.  Sharing its journey details it said, ”It all started with a passion to build something that could solve the problems facing an Asian Fusion restaurant in Charlotte North Carolina. TC DeSilva, our head software architect, was having lunch there one day with Chi Zhang, who ran the restaurant with his brother-in-law, Phong Luong. They saw the waitress taking orders and reservations manually while the computer lay useless running some outdated software.”  Robert Tyree joined its board   and three embarked on this new journey and now it has joined hand with Zomato.

Zomato has made nine acquisitions so far and have become renowned name among urban populace in India.  It is planning to own communication channels between hotels and customer via online ordering and tale reservations.  Presently, it is focused on India spicy food segment and is catering to customers.

Goyal leading from the front have already established its quality services across major metro regions. With these two successful acquisitions it has shown that it is determined to scale new heights.  With online Food and restaurants business expecting further boom, demand for quality services is bound to grow.
