After being sold via a third-party online retailer earlier this month, Micromax Unite 3 smartphone is now officially launched. The smartphone is now listed on the company’s site and is priced at Rs. 6,999. The handset comes with a new feature that allow users to translate a message from English to the language of choice and vice versa with a simple swipe.
As for specifications, the Micromax Unite 3 comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 4.7-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA IPS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MTK6582M) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The handset includes 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel fixed-focus front camera.
On the connectivity front, the Unite 3 offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 220 hours of standby time.
Following its predecessors, the Unite 3 comes multiple languages and comes preloaded with support for 10 Indian languages. The company is also offering Micromax Unite 3 500MB (2G/3G) of free data per month for the first two months. It is to be noted that the Micromax Unite 3 is the successor to the company’s Unite 2 smartphone.
