Trucker Path secures $20m

Truckers will be able to make money and shipping will efficiently be routed toward the truckers available. Companies enter the cargo details they need to ship and truckers use mobile app to take jobs and follow their routes.

US market alone is worth $70 billion and this is great opportunity for them. Now a competitor, Trucker Path a present app for truckers has secured more of it. It has declared a $20M series A funding led by Wicklow capital of Chicago and including a follow on partner, Chinese social media giant Renren.

It unveiled the beta test of shipping market place known as Trucker path truckloads. This puts together truckers, logistics companies and freight brokers. Apart from this it also serves as B2B companies and commercial freight transportation industry. It provides all comfort to a truck driver where they can do their business without worry.

The company says it is determined to enhance its services and features by offering innovative solutions rather  than being tagged as mere’ Uber for truckers’.

Its business rival is Truckstop as Cargomatic is focused on local transportation by small vans and trucks. Trucker Path is more focused on long-haul via big rigs and regional routes.

TrcukerPath claimed that it has around 300,000 active users which will give it 20% of class 8 truckers across US and shall have 20% growth per month since last six months.

It is interesting that it is making all efforts in place where Uber is also planning to reach and this make ongoing competition more interesting and it is to be seen how they plan to make use of available enterprise and B2B space.
