Datawind today on Friday launched its new Datawind 7SC budget tablet in India with 12-month free internet surfing priced at Rs. 2,999. The free internet browsing will be provided by UbiSurfer browser.
The Datawind 7SC tablet will exclusively be available online via Snapdeal and Den Snapdeal TV-Shop. The tablet also includes Web-delivery platform which has been said to deliver fastest mobile Web experience on regular GPRS/ EDGE based network, which has been made possible by the 18 US patents and consumes 10 to 30 times less bandwidth.
Datawind also cleared that the free access to Internet would not include audio/video streaming or local-downloads, users who want to stream audio/video will require a separate data plan.

The new Datawind 7SC table comes with dual-SIM support and it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The tablet features a 7-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution display. The tablet packs a 1.3GHz single-core MediaTek processor paired with 512MB RAM. The tablet comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Datawind 7SC supports 2G calling and can deliver 3G connectivity via a dongle. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth connectivity. The tablet includes a 2400mAh battery; on the camera front, the tablet features a rear camera and a front-facing camera. It is available in a Black colour variant.
