Infosys, one of India’s second largest IT Company has come up with its largest campus plan in Hyderabad which has been said to be open in February 2016.
The largest campus will be situated at Pocharam on the city’s outskirts in Hyderabad. The campus will have a capacity of about 25,000-seatings but on its first phase, the company will inaugurate the campus with its 12,000 seating.
Telangana Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao said. “The seating capacity of the campus is 25,000. Currently, 12,000 employees are working there. They are planning to inaugurate the campus formally in February, after the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections,”
According to the report, Vishal Sikka Infosys chief executive officer met Telangana’s Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday to invite him for the inauguration.
“(Vishal) Sikka has invited us to inaugurate their largest campus at Pocharam in Hyderabad. We would request CM K Chandrashekar Rao to unveil the IT policy of the state also at that time,” Rao said.
Earlier, the company has stated in a press release that the “upcoming Pocharam campus of the IT giant would be spread over 447 acres, and built with a total investment of Rs 1,250 crore. The construction would be completed in three phases over a period of ten years.”
According to ndtv, company’s initial investment in the first phase was estimated to be Rs. 600 crore.
