Tracxn grabs investment from Nandan Nilekani, Mohandas Pai and others

Data analytics firm, Tracxn co-founded by Sequoia and Accel executives to track data from startups, has bagged funding round from marquee Angel Investors including Nandan Nilekani, Mohandas Pai, Neeraj Arora of Whatsapp and Junglee co-founder Anand Rjaraman including others.

Set up in 2013, Tracxn helps venture capital funding private equity groups and corporate strategy teams to track innovation in all different industries, identifying upcoming sectors and interesting investable startups.

In 2015 alone, the company grew its customer base by over 400% and succeeded in getting client list with some big names which include BMW, Qihoo, VMWare, Target, LG, Vodafone, Bosch and others in addition to venture funds like Andreessen Horowitz, Light speed and NEA.

Other angels participaated in the recent round include marque names like Japanese investor Teruhide Sato (Founder of Beenos), Girish Mathrubootham (Founder & CEO of Freshdesk) and Aneesh Reddy (Co-Founder and CEO of Capillary Technologies).

The company is having offices in Mountain view and Bangalore,  has customers all over Europe, North America, and India. Now it’s eyeing to expand its userbase all over regions including Japan, South East Asia middle East and Europe other parts.
