Evernote now allow Indian users to make INR payments for subscription

With more than 5 million registered users in India, Evernote, the leading cross-platform notetaking and productivity app, has announced its strategy to gain more user-base in the country. The company has annonuced that users in India can now make payments in Indian National Rupee (INR) for Evernote Plus and Premium subscriptions plans.

Additionally, the Evernote also announced that it is offering introductory discounts on all Evernote subscription options. Evernote app is available on all major operating system platforms including OS X, iOS, Chrome OS, Android, Microsoft Windows, Windows Phone, BlackBerry 10, and webOS

It has more than 150 Mn registered users worldwide, and India currently holds the 5th position in terms of the number of users.

Currently, the localized payment is available only to VISA and MasterCard credit card users, but the company is looking to roll out other payment options later in 2016.

Ken Inoue, General Manager, APAC, said, “Evernote has been providing far from optimal payment methods, especially in international markets. We are now trying to optimize this for our focus countries. India is a priority market for Evernote, and the introduction of localized pricing is a strong testament to Evernote’s focus on the country.”

Indian users can now subscribe for yearly plan of Evernote Plus for INR 850, and a yearly subscription of Evernote Premium for INR 1500.Evernote plans
