Hopscotch bags $13M in series C round headed by Eduardo Saverin

Mumbai-based online retailer of baby care and children products Hopscotch has bagged $13 million in series C investment round headed by Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin. India’s discovery based eCommerce destination for moms, Hopscotch will be holding the distinction of being Eduardo’s maiden direct investment in India.

The Saverin Family office will be joining the Hopscoth board and work closely with management team and company testimony and expansion and growth.

The firm claims that it is presently growing at 700% year on year in terms of revenue. Co-founded by Harvard business school alumni Rahul Anand and Lisa Kennedy as a discovery based eCommerce destination for its Indian norms offering a wide range of curated children merchandise. It will be searching forward to dedicate the newly secured fund round from its growth and expansion technology platform. The recent round brings the entire bagged fund of the company to date is $28 million.

Presently, this online destination has over 3,000 local and global brands all over multiple product categories including toys, apps, apparel and accessories.

The startup has bagged $2 million from a group of investors including Singapore-based LionRock Capital along with Nisaba Godrej, Skype co-founder Toivo Annus and diapers.com CTO Wei Yan and last year, it secured $11 million in series B round of funding headed by facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin and Velos Partners.
