The iPhone 7’s bad luck just keeps on going – its lack of a headphone jack has been the subject of ridicule, it has drawn far smaller crowds on release day, and now, the iTunes and App Store are causing issues for many new users.
The problems reportedly began earlier today, with some customers reporting that they are unable to log in, load the App Store, and download apps. Apple has also reported that iTunes has been down since 1 PM Pacific Time, affecting users in Europe, Japan, and Australia as well as the United States.
These outages could not have happened at a worse time. Many people today are first turning on their new iPhone 7s and iPhone 7 Pluses, only to find that they have to wait to be able to personalize their devices and re-download their favorite apps and games.
Nevertheless, users can still use services such as Apple Pay, Apple Music, iCloud, Maps, News, Siri, and iMessage.
